Yeti Air aircraft averts major disaster in Pokhara Airport

A Yeti Airlines aircraft (AHU-681) averted a major disaster following Hydraulic systems failure upon landing at Pokhara Airport runway on Sunday. There were 30 passengers and three crew members on board the airplane.

The hydraulics of the aircraft gave up at the runway while it was preparing to park. As a result, the aircraft went out of the runway.

“The aircraft’s hydraulics failed while parking, however there were no casualties,” informed Pokhara Airport spokesperson Kashinath Poudel adding, “The airport operations have not been hampered due to the incident since the aircraft halted outside the runway.”

The airplane had departed from Kathmandu and landed at Pokhara Airport at 2:45 pm today afternoon.

Meanwhile, a team of technicians from Yeti Air are arriving in Pokhara to look into the matter, airport officials informed.
