A new job offer from the White House has reportedly turned into a total disaster for a man who was previously on the payroll of the host of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Hannity.”
President Donald Trump has reportedly hired a former Fox News employee as his new White House correspondent, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
Trump’s hiring of former Fox employee Eric Bolling to serve as White House press secretary will reportedly result in his departure from the network, the Times reported.
The White House said in a statement Wednesday that Bolling’s firing is “a major setback for the White Senate and a major blow to the President’s agenda.”
Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who was removed from the payroll and has been banned from White House grounds since the election, is also reportedly in line for a new job.
A spokesman for Bolling told CNN that he is “very happy to be back at the Whitehouse and looking forward to working with the President,” adding that “our White House is a big team.”
